Common questions

Which EVmode chargers are available in Michigan?

Two lines. The EVM2000-11.5 is an 11.5 kW Level 2 AC charger for pedestal or wall mounting. The DC fast charger comes in 120, 150, 180 and 400 kW versions, each with two ports.

How much is the DTE rebate for business EV chargers?

As of October 2026, DTE publishes up to $2,500 per port for public Level 2 chargers, up to $5,000 per port at multifamily properties, and up to $50,000 per public DC fast charger, or $70,000 in rural or disadvantaged locations. DTE decides eligibility and the final amount.

Which sites qualify for the DTE DC fast charger rebate?

DTE asks for an active DTE electric business account in good standing and a publicly accessible site within one mile of a major throughway exit, more than two miles from an existing fast charging site. The chargers need their own meter and must be kept in service for at least five years.

Should I wait for DTE approval before installing?

Yes, if the project depends on the rebate. DTE's guidance is to hold the installation until you receive its formal approval of the initial application.

Who installs the chargers?

A licensed electrical contractor, brought in and managed by WG Services. The installation is priced in the same quote as the equipment.
